There are activites planned for each unique lifestyle making our community an engaging fulfilling place to call home.
Healthy Body
Keeping active is the key to an optimum life of health and fitness! Freedom Plaza's Lifestyle's Department has placed emphasis on this belief encompassing organized fitness programs ranging from water exercises in our beautiful pools, body building in our two fully equipped exercise centers, low-impact exercise classes, yoga, and walking groups. We've even teamed up with a local Audubon Society Chapter to provide our residents with a bird watchers post on the nature trail! The Resident Programs Department has truly thought of everything to engage our residents in activities. Check the activities calendar for scheduled activity events!

And if you are an artist at heart, you can show your talent or discover new watercolor techniques; we have the perfect art room facility for all genres of art.

GOLFING
Beautifully Manicured Golf Course
Freedom Fairways is our premier executive golf course. Our well-maintained, challenging par-63 executive course winds around an abundance of lakes and through stands of pines and oaks.
It features a mix of nine par-3s and nine par-4s ranging from 89 to 238 yards. Tight, tree-lined fairways and small greens place a premium on accuracy.
Playing Freedom Fairways will definitely improve your short game. Open to the public. Memberships available.
NATURE TRAIL
Freedom Plaza Nature Trail
Freedom Plaza is nestled on a 140-acre nature preserve. Take a stroll down the 1.3 mile nature trail. Stop off at Freedom Plaza’s very own Window in the Woods and take a break in the enclosed viewing room. The view is always changing!
Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking to take a leisurely stroll, the Nature Trail is a wonderful part of Freedom Plaza’s natural beauty.
SWIMMING
Swimming Pools
Freedom Plaza has two full sized in ground swimming pools to cool you on the warmest days. Whether you enjoy the comfort of a swim in our outdoor, screened in pool, or would rather remain indoors to do your laps, our clean and sparkling pools will undoubtedly exceed your expectations.
Both of our pool areas include a sizable and very comfortable spa. Relax in the warm and bubbling waters to soothe the body after a day on the golf course or just a relaxing hiatus with a book from our library.
TENNIS
Play Where You Stay
Freedom Plaza has two state of the art “Plexi-Cushion” tennis courts on campus. This surface is easier on the foot, ankle and back than a regular hard surface. However, it does not require daily maintenance like HarTru courts.
The Residents have a regular play schedule of Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday beginning at 7:30 am in the summer and 8:00 am in the winter months. The Director of Tennis conducts clinics for stoke and serve improvement throughout the year.

Taste of Florida

We offer our residents two fully equipped fitness center. Complete with treadmills, stationary cycles, free weights, resistance work stations and more.

Freedom Plaza Community Library
We have a library in the Plaza filled with everything for the avid reader. Fiction, non-fiction, periodicals, magazines, newspapers and more.
The library is actually maintained and managed by our residents and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you have a taste for sawdust and a knack for knots, our wood working shop will satisfy even the most seasoned enthusiast.
We provide a full range of hand tools as well as power tools to carve out your niche in the wood working realm. Build your bird house or your napkin holder or even construct a custom made wood stool for your visitors. In any case, our wood working shop will meet a good range of your needs.
