Rep. Chuck Martin
House Rep. Chuck Martin (R- Alpharetta), who once considered running for Tom Price’s House seat, has thrown his support behind former State Senator Dan Moody.
Moody’s campaign announced the endorsement on Friday.
“I’ve known Dan Moody for over 15 years, before, during, and after his service to Georgia in the State Senate – in that time Dan Moody never once put himself before the people he represented, he worked for our district and our state – so supporting Dan Moody is a clear choice,” Martin said in a statement. “If you want the 6th District represented by a selfless, humble, and hardworking public servant, please join Johnna and I and support Dan Moody.”
M0ody has managed to stay among the top Republicans running ahead of the special election.
“I’m proud to have the support of my friends, Representative Chuck Martin and his wife Johnna,” the candidate said of the endorsement. “Chuck and I have worked together on numerous issues in the Georgia General Assembly, and his relentless efforts making government more fiscally responsible were inspiring to me,” Moody said. “I am thankful for his help which will be a big reason for our success on Election Day.”
The election takes place on April 18.
